Malaysia is a beautiful, thriving country in Southeast Asia. The country is actually made of two geographically seperate areas: Peninsular Malaysia which is attached to mainland Asia, and East Malaysia which take up part of Borneo Island.
Due to it's growing economy, thriving industrial output, and proximity to important Asia shipping lanes, Malaysia is a major hub of container shipping. And perhaps for that reason, Malaysia is also a major center of shipping container architecture.
Buildings in Malaysia are governed by the Uniform Building By-Laws of 1984 (UBBL), which are adopted and enforced by local authorities. The overarching regulations are in turn supplemented by specific Malaysia Standards (MS).
