South Australia Container Construction Information

South Australia is an Australian State that is right where you think it would be: in the south of the country. Roughly speaking, if you take the lower half of Australia, then take the center third of that half, you'll have the boundaries of South Australia.

South Australia has quite a bit of rural land. As a result, over 75% of the people here live in the metro area of the capital city Adelaide.

Most of South Australia is at least semi-arid, and it's fairly flat, with only a few low mountains. The dry weather does lend itself to grape production though, making the region one of the most popular for wineries.

And similar to the rest of Australia, building regulations in South Australia are straightforward, using the National Construction Code (NCC) and controlled by the Australian Building Codes Board.

In South Australia, the NCC in conjunction with regional Ministerial Building Standards govern building requirements. The structure for these rules was set in place by the Planning, Development and Infrastructure Act of 2016 and the Planning, Development and Infrastructure (General) Regulations of 2017. More recently, South Australia has sought to modernize the planning and approval process with the online PlanSA tool.
