A short drive outside of vibrant Portland is the quainter Oregon City. In addition to its historic charm, it also holds another surprise: three beautiful container homes that bring a touch of modern innovation to a quiet neighborhood.
One of the three container houses, 291 Warner Street, is a residence crafted from a combination of two parallel 45-foot shipping containers. These slightly longer-than-normal containers have a completely rectangular floorplan save for a few strategic bump-areas where the walls were extended outward to provide extra interior space.
Inside this container home, you’re greeted by a generous open living and kitchen area that makes the home feel larger than it actually is. And the many windows only add to the airy feel. The home also includes two bedrooms and a bathroom, plus a small utility room.
The showpiece of the home is the kitchen, where sleek stainless-steel appliances and quartz countertops convey the modern, luxury aesthetic. And we also love the large, covered porch that provides a shaded, covered area to enjoy the outdoors.
